Who we are
This website belongs to Local Electrical Handyman Service, an electrical business based in Duncraig, Western Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" means Local Electrical Handyman Service. You can contact us about privacy at localelectricalhandyman@gmail.com or on 0423 677 455.
What we collect
When you send a quote request through the form on this website, we collect:
- your name, phone number and suburb
- your email address, if you choose to give it
- your answers about the job: the type of work or problem, rough quantities, the type of property and number of storeys, any notes you add, when would suit you and how you'd like to be contacted
- the page you sent the request from
The form service also records your IP address and browser type with the enquiry, to help detect spam and misuse. If you call or email us, we collect whatever you choose to tell us. Please don't send sensitive information, such as health or financial details, through the form.
How the enquiry form works
Enquiries are handled by BluePeek Forms, a service run by BluePeek, the company that built and looks after this website. When you press "Send request":
- your enquiry is stored in a database hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia
- it is screened automatically for spam, which can include analysis by an AI model provided by Anthropic
- it is emailed to us using Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States
- BluePeek receives a copy so it can make sure enquiries are delivered and the form keeps working
The form only confirms that your request was sent once the service has received it. If sending fails, you'll see an error message and nothing is lost: your answers stay in the form so you can try again or call us instead.
How we use your details
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange and carry out the work, and keep records of jobs. We don't use them for marketing and we don't sell them.
Who else sees them
Apart from the service providers named above, we only share your details if you ask us to or if the law requires it.
Website hosting, cookies and analytics
This website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the site. The website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and serves its fonts itself, so no third-party font service sees your visit. Links to other websites, such as WA Government pages, are covered by those websites' own privacy policies.
Information stored overseas
Because Resend, Anthropic and Vercel are based in the United States, details you send may be processed or stored outside Australia.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep records of work, then delete them.
Owner to confirm
A specific retention period, for example two years after the last contact.
Accessing or correcting your details
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete them, by emailing localelectricalhandyman@gmail.com.
Questions and complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your details, contact us first and we'll work with you to resolve it. You can also find information about privacy rights from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
